We’re less than a week into the new year and already many folks are reconsidering those pesky resolutions we all make as a new year begins.

Perhaps its even more important then to remember the promise we read in scripture. It is a promise from the one who offers a fresh opportunity in each new day.

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3: 22-23 NRSV)
